Things to Do in Nashville in November: DJ Nights & New Bars

November in Nashville moves fast. Holiday party season is about to hit, the CMA Awards land on November 18, and the next two weeks are already stacked with big DJ nights, a fan-voted Red Bull concert and brand new places to dance. Here are the best things to do in Nashville in November, picked by the people who book the entertainment.

Red Bull Jukebox Nashville at The Pinnacle (Sat., Nov. 7)

Red Bull Jukebox is back at The Pinnacle on Saturday, November 7, with Max McNown headlining. The hook is simple and kind of brilliant. Fans vote on the setlist, how the artists rework fan favorites and the surprise moments, so the crowd basically produces the show. It's 18 and up and The Pinnacle is cashless, so leave the wallet chain at home. We've worked with Red Bull before, and nobody does a one-night-only party quite like them. (Red Bull)

Nashville DJ Nights Worth Leaving the House For

If your idea of a good night is a big sound system and a bigger drop, the next two weeks deliver.

  • Madeon at Brooklyn Bowl, Wed., Nov. 4. The French producer brings his melodic, wall-to-wall electronic set to a midweek crowd that will not be sitting down.

  • TVBOO at Cannery Hall (The Mil), Fri., Nov. 6. Bass-heavy and built for a packed room.

  • Daniel Allan at Cannery Hall Main Stage, Sat., Nov. 7. The dance producer takes the big room the same night as Red Bull Jukebox, so pick your lane or try to do both.

  • Subtronics at The Truth, Fri., Nov. 13. Headbanger bass music. Bring earplugs and a fresh pair of sneakers.

Full dates are on MusicRow's November calendar.

New Places to Dance and Drink in Nashville

Hot Ticket Lounge, East Nashville. The old Donut Distillery at 311 Gallatin Ave., just north of Five Points, is now a low-lit dance club with R&B, soul, funk and disco, light bites and a late-night menu. It's a mom and daughter project from Shauna and Kylee McCoy with partner Angel Bond, and they plan to fill the calendar with local artists, spoken word nights and art classes. (Nashville Scene)

Soundproof, Nashville Yards. This speakeasy inside Hooky opened October 29 with live music and a cocktail list inspired by Music City's golden age of recording sessions. Order the Slow Fade, a smoke-filled Manhattan, and act like you cut a record here in 1962.

Bar Cala Cala, East Nashville. A listening bar from the chefs behind Present Tense and Xiao Bao, pouring wine and cocktails with Italian island food. Good records, good snacks, no shouting over the speakers.

Puesto, Nashville Yards. Mexico City style tacos from a family-owned California restaurant making its first move outside the state. Tuesdays are half-off tacos, which makes Tuesday the new Friday. (City Cast Nashville)

More Things to Do in Nashville: Holiday Season Starts Early

  • A Country Christmas at Gaylord Opryland, Nov. 6 through Jan. 2. This year's ICE! exhibit is Home Alone themed, carved from two million pounds of ice. Fair warning, the kids will want to go twice.

  • Turnip Green Festival at the Nashville Farmers' Market, Sat., Nov. 7. The 28th year of a giant cauldron of braised greens, with live funk and soul, food trucks and fall produce.

  • Glow Wild at the Nashville Zoo, starting Nov. 13. Lit-up wildlife, an 85-foot Christmas tree synced to music and ice skating. (StyleBlueprint)

CMA Week: The 60th CMA Awards (Wed., Nov. 18)

Country music's biggest night turns 60 at Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 18, with Lainey Wilson hosting on ABC and Disney+. Expect downtown to be packed all week. If you're planning a watch party, client dinner or brand event around CMA week, lock in your entertainment and your reservations now. (Holler)
